The double back frame as pictured above was designed
for a customer who wanted to store her sheet music in between
the frames.  From what we understand, this is much like the
old European style stands. It is available in all the designs
except the Victorian Lyre.......Its just to hard to make the
scrolly edges of the Victorian lyre to match up with the
other side.....This design really needs to have square sides.....

If you are ordering the modern classic or the tulip lyre or
other design we only put the modern classic design on the front
and just a solid board without the modern classic design
on the back.   In the lyre design, we can put the
 lyre design on the front or back side and we just use
a solid board again for the back.  ( see picture below )
The fame size for the double back is 12 1/2 " x 22"
  The space between the two frames is 2 1/4  inches in width
and allows plenty of room to store music.  The double back stand
in the solid back design is  $ 450.00 without the extra shelf.
If you want the Modern Classic or other lyre design its $ 475.00
Again,  you can order the double back in any wood choice.

Want the design on the back so
the audience sees it..........

You can have the design you choose on the back versus the side of the music frame.
This way the audience can see your design and its not covered up with your sheet
music.  Just ask Mister Standman about this........
 

This classical lyre design with the design on the back side of the frame
had a board glued into the back of the frame so that you would not be able to
see sheet music through the holes.  If we don't do this you would be able to see the
sheet music through the design.  Its really not a big deal for some people......but if
want the design to stick out more then we can glue in a solid board inside the double back
frame. We basically stained a different color as the frame as this picture and the ones
below show........Of course we can stain and do any color combinations.......

You could see the music through the design if it was on the back side.
In this example the design is on the front and the back side is a
solid board so the audience could not see the music just you can.......

The back side had the trumpet cutout because
the customer wanted the audience to see the trumpet
cutout part on the back.  You could switch the
frames around though and put the cutout part
on the front side of the frame......

The double back is basically just two frames glued together like a suitcase........
 

We have to finish of the inside with a final coat of finish before we glue
the two frames together.........

Double back tulip lyre with trombone.  Notice the customer wanted to
mix the woods of maple for the front and walnut for the back of the
double back.  It does make the trombone stick out because of the dark background....

Half Victorian Lyre
 

The Extra Storage shelf sits below the music tray and is
 a great idea for storing tuners, metronomes, business cards,
pencils, rosin, bows and other items.  You can also order the extra
shelf with a knotched end in the tray as shown to hold your bow.
The extra shelf can be added to any of the designs of
Mister Standman.  The Brass Highlights or brass knobs to
the left adds a touch of elegance to the stand....
 
 

 Mister Standman Music stands uses the Four feet Pattern as shown on all
of his music stands.  The four feet which are almost 2 inches wide is the
main reason his stands are so stable.  All other Music stands from other companies
use those tiny skinny three feet pattern which are about 1/2" wide
No wonder those other wooden stands are so rocky and unstable.........
